Dr. Regan Blackwood

Dr. Blackwood has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a young girl, inspired by her family's vet and her love of horses. She pursued veterinary medicine in higher education, getting her B.S in Biology from Sweet Briar College and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Tech in 2006.

After working at several small animal clinics in the Northern Virginia area, Dr. Blackwood joined Clifton-Centreville Animal Clinic in 2010. CCAC Founder Dr. Jamie Netschert shared her philosophy of compassionate, personalized care and became a mentor. Dr. Blackwood loved the staff and clients and purchased the practice in 2017.

Dr. Blackwood's desire to provide individualized care for animals is what drives her. She is an accomplished surgeon, acupuncturist, and dentist, caring for patients and directing her team.

Living in Fairfax, Dr. Blackwood enjoys time outdoors with her son, husband, and dachshund Titus. She is an excellent chef and baker and voracious reader.
